Chris B. Chimonas was born in Skiathos on March 31, 1947 and died in Athens on August 3, 1998. Studied economics and law at Athens, where he worked as a lawyer and journalist. He was married with Stella Psoma and had two daughters, Elpida and Charoula.

From high school worked on journalism and literature. He published hundreds of documents from almost all kinds of writing, in newspapers, magazines and scientific yearbooks of Greece and Cyprus. He was a regular contributor to newspapers of Thessalia and Monday Morning of Volos, Thessaliotis and Northern Sporades , Athens Magnesia (he was a member of the editorial committee), Contemporary Thought Athens and the local newspaper News of Northern Sporades and recurrent of Apanemia magazine and Our presence Athens.
He was also managing editor of the Municipality of Skiathos With the North Waves (1996-1998), director of Magazine Travel Life (1989-1993) and the periodic issuance The leaves of Skiathos by Association Worldwide People of Skiathos (1991 - 1994) and as a member of the editorial board of the journal Archives of Euboea Studies Athens for many years.
Important was his role as a publisher and director of Skiathos magazine from 1976 to 1987. Documents have been translated in English and French language, his poems have been included in several anthologies and biographies have been recorded on valid encyclopedias and grammatology (see Idria, Biographical Encyclopedia of Greek Writers, etc.)
Chris B. Chimonas was an active member in many scientific and cultural associations including: Association of Greek Literature, Greek Folklore Society, Greek Centre of International Union of Literary Critics , Association of Journalists and Writers of Tourism in Greece, Federation Internationale des Journalistes et Ecrivains du Tourisme (FIET), Company of Thessaly Research , History and Folklore Company of Thessalians, Philological Association "Parnassos", Company Papadiamantis Studies, Society Euboea Studies, Greek Terminological Company, Company Aegean Studies Athens, etc. several of whom participated on the Board as president, vice president, general secretary etc.

Note that the various races and spiritual offering were declared a living Honorary President of the Association "Alexander Papadiamantis" and Honorary Member of the First National Patriotic Union Justice for Cyprus (EPEKA) and the Association of Professionals and Craftsmen of Skiathos «Skiathos. »
For his work in literature and journalism and his offer in the island honored with special events and honorary plaques, and after his death awarded with the Gold Medal of Skiathos and honorary board of the Society of Skiathos by Association Worldwide Skiathos, which had served as president since 1988 and continuously until his death. Note also that the City of Lake Evia (birthplace of his father) in recognition of  “supply and beneficence to the whole communion in general” posthumously awarded him a diploma and an honorary plaque and approved by decision to give his name in a city street.
He stood throughout his life unselfish and unconditional respect towards spiritual values and cultural traditions of his island and never ceased to struggle with rare courage and unflagging enthusiasm for the enhancement and promotion of Skiathos.
Chris B. Chimonas left  a complex and important archive, a rich unpublished - material, especially in the bibliography of "Two Alexander" of Skiathos but also other spiritual forms of the Greek area, which needs care and eventually to be published.
