Skiathos is located northwest of the Aegean Sea and belongs to the island of Sporades. It lies 41 nautical miles from Volos and just 2.4 nautical miles from the beautiful southern coast of Pelion.
The Olympic Air (Tel. 24 270 22 040) operates flights to Skiathos throughout the year, the number of flights be increased during the summer. The flight from the airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" lasts only 35 minutes. Also the island throughout the summer season is connected directly with many European cities with charter flights. The island has a ferry connection with the port of Agios Konstantinos, Volosand neighboring islands of Skopelos and Alonissos and the summer with Thessaloniki and Evia. Boat trips to Skiathos perform with conventional ferries and hydrofoils especially companies Hellenic Seaways, and NEL. Guests who wish to spend on the island with their own means of transport, it would be particularly during summer time to close the ferry tickets, as well as to take into account the difficulty of finding a parking space during peak season.

Of course there is the possibility of renting or using local transport:

•  Taxi

•  Bus from Skiathos town and along the southern coast to the famous beach of Koukounaries or the Monastery of Evaggelistria

•  Boats departing from the Old Port of the city or at regular intervals such as the beaches of Achladies and Kanapitsa, either in the morning to visit the inaccessible northern beaches or islets that surround and adorn the southern coastline of Skiathos.
